That’s why we accept a wide range of personal insurance plans for our services, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Massage Therapy, and Acupuncture. We’re here to guide you through the insurance process and help you understand what to expect when using your benefits.
Understanding Your Insurance Coverage
When using your personal insurance plan to pay for services, your plan may require you to contribute to the cost of care. These contributions typically come in the form of a co-pay or deductible:
- Co-Pay: A co-pay is a fixed amount you pay at the time of your appointment. This fee is set by your insurance provider and varies depending on your specific plan and the type of service you’re receiving.
- Deductible: A deductible is the amount you must pay out of pocket each year before your insurance begins covering your services. After reaching your deductible, your insurance may cover all or part of your visit, often with a co-insurance (a percentage you continue to pay).
Our team will verify your benefits before your first visit and inform you of any expected out-of-pocket costs, so there are no surprises.

Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA CCN)
Virtuous Wellness Center is proud to support our nation’s veterans through participation in the Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA CCN). We provide services such as Massage Therapy and Acupuncture, which are frequently utilized by veterans for pain management, stress relief, and improved mobility. If you are a veteran, ask your VA provider about a referral to receive care with us through the Community Care Network. Our team is experienced in handling the coordination process to ensure you receive the support you deserve.
What Does Out-of-Network Mean?
If Virtuous Wellness Center is out-of-network with your insurance provider, it means we do not have a direct billing agreement with them. However, many insurance plans still offer out-of-network benefits, which may cover a portion of your care. In these cases, you may pay upfront and seek reimbursement from your insurance company. We are happy to provide detailed receipts and support your reimbursement process.
Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Many of our services are eligible for payment using Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). These accounts allow you to use pre-tax dollars to pay for qualifying health-related expenses, including Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, and Massage Therapy. Simply present your HSA or FSA card at the time of service, or request an itemized receipt to submit for reimbursement.
What Does Out-of-Network Mean?
For clients who prefer not to use insurance, or whose services are not covered, we offer straightforward and transparent self-pay rates. This option allows you to pay out-of-pocket at the time of service without dealing with insurance paperwork or restrictions. Self-pay is a flexible and accessible choice for those seeking regular wellness care or those without current insurance coverage.
